5 Days Tour

5 Days Tour

Day 1 Colombo Arrival
Welcome to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s seaside metropolis with a laidback atmosphere and a mix of crumbling colonial buildings and shimmering skyscrapers. Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel to check-in. Time permitting, head on a tour of the commercial city. Once a horse racing hub in the 1800s and a World War II Airstrip, Colombo is now home to boutiques, restaurants, and so much in Colombo

Day 2 Colombo – Kandy
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you depart for Kandy, last ruled by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe before it was brought under British rule in 1815. Enjoy an en-route stop in Pinnawala where you may head on an optional visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Upon arrival in Kandy, stroll around the small lakeside town cradled among the misty hills before visiting the Temple of the Tooth. This is the most visited temple in Sri Lanka and is the only temple in the world with a tooth relic of Buddha himself. From there, enjoy a cultural show with traditional music and in Kandy

Optional: En Route Visit of Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
On this 25-acre coconut property, you can get close to elephants roaming freely around the campus. Discover the true meaning of gentle giants — don’t be surprised if you come across a baby elephant being bottle-fed! Operating since 1975, this orphanage is home to up to three generations of elephants. You will discover their daily routines which include being fed and taking river baths. This is a truly unique experience that will certainly be worth your time!

Day 3 Kandy – Waskaduwa
This morning after breakfast, depart for Waskaduwa overlooking the Indian Ocean. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or perhaps take a stroll along its golden expanse of beaches with a backdrop of never-ending palm in Waskaduwa

Day 4 Waskaduwa
Enjoy your day at leisure or perhaps pre-book an optional in Waskaduwa

Optional: Excursion to Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery
Kosgoda’s traditional industries include fisheries and cinnamon cultivation. Still, recently, it has been recognised by the Wildlife Protection Society which studied the region with a Sea Turtle Conservation Project, operating on a formidable scale today.

Optional: Tour to Galle
Visit Galle, once the chief port of Ceylon and a town that is rich in history. It served as the centre of the Dutch regime in the 17th century and the majestic Galle Fort (spanning 90 acres) bears testimony to this fact. The fort, a World Heritage Site, is one of the finest examples of a walled city built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later extended by the Dutch in 1663. Galle is one of the most well-preserved colonial-era cities in Southeast Asia and has been declared a World Heritage Site. Take a stroll through the Dutch-haunted streets listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and see how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions. As you walk within the fort, you will witness the ‘old gates’ with the British coat of arms before coming across the oldest lighthouse in the area at Point Utrecht Bastion. Here, you will have a fantastic panoramic view of the southern Indian Ocean.
